Simulated Scenario about an unexpected event in the Operating Room - Scenario developed by Renato Fiandaca Simulation Center (ISMETT - Palermo, Italy), in close collaboration with Laerdal Italy

Scenario for Laerdal SimMan 3G. Together with a group of doctors you’re participating in the trip to the General Hospital in Chicago. Taken off from Milan Airport, the route followed the classic route flying over France and the United Kingdom and is now flying over the Atlantic Ocean, skirting the southern tip of Greenland. A passenger got up for a walk in the aisle, has a fainting. You decide to intervene, but how will it evolve the case? Will have you all to land or can you all continue your journey?

Pics related to the intro course about the use of advanced patient simulator Laerdal SimMan Classic, on the beautiful Simulation Center at Hospital Vittorio Emanuele II in Catania, Sicily (I).

Special thanks on the technical side goes to the Mr. Salvo Favitta from Vittorio Emanuele II, Mr. Marco Bauso and Mr. Massimiliano Vinciprova from Bnet Srl, without whom this would not have been possible.

A special thanks for the support during the course goes to Mr. Saro Raineri and Mr. Massimiliano Sorbello.

Last in order, but absolutely not least, a heartfelt thanks to all those who attended the course, by who I saw there are all the necessary requirements why this Simulation Center becomes one of the best Italian Simulation Centers.
